You Found the Best Wall Mount.
By Don Dudley
My wife and I decided to mount our 32″ Vizio tv on the wall instead of utilizing an entertainment center. I will admit, I was a little intimidated with the prospect of mounting a semi-expensive TV on my wall. I had a flashback to a time when I mounted a lighting fixture on an apartment wall only to hear it fall in the middle of the night, scaring the bah-jeebuz out of us.
I looked through mounts ranging in price from $20 to $200 and decided to go with the one that included a stud finder in the box, the Amazon Basics Articulating Universal TV Wall Mount.
I ordered it with Prime and received it quickly. The box was heavy, but frustration free, as advertised. Upon opening the box, I noticed several bags including screws, brackets, and of course, the stud finder. I took out all the pieces and started reading the directions (to be honest, the type-face on the instructions is kind of small). As I looked through the instructions, I found them fairly easy to navigate and understand.
Here is the one knock, and it is not against the mount at all, but against myself. If you have a house built in the 1920′s, you probably have thatch walls covered in plaster, this renders the stud finder useless. Live and learn. I did test the stud finder on a traditional wall in our finished basement and it worked fine.
The mount is easy to assemble and easy to attache to the wall, once you find the studs. You only need to drill four holes and insert the provided wall anchors, mount the backing plate with the built-in level, and then tighten down the screws. After that, attache the bracket to the back of your TV (this may require adding the supplied extension arms). After that, slide the bracket onto the piece you attached to the wall. There is a cable guide in the back which works well for running your power cord and other AV cables down your wall.
You will have a multitude of screws and washers left over when you are done. Since the mount is universal, you ca save those in case you decide to use the mount for a different TV later on.
The entire installation took me 20 minutes. If I could sum it up in one word, it would be easy. I firmly believe anyone who has ever hung anything on a wall (picture, shelf, cork board, whatever) can install this product and feel good about it.

A solid wall mount, the one to buy!
By JJL2U
I looked around, read tons of reviews and decided upon this wall mount. It was a great decision. The mount is incredibally sturdy, it has several swivel points, that lock into place, as well as a tilt feature. You can adjust your tv to pretty much any position and it’ll stay securely in place. Seriously, you could probably just about do pull ups on this thing, it’s that solid, so, it’ll easily hold your tv. The mount has a built in level, so, if you can read and operate a hand drill and screw driver, installation is a breeze. This was a great buy, I’m sure that you’ll agree.

Frustration free packaging – BUT frustration filled experience
By Aditya Agarwal
While Amazon provided great packaging – truly living up to the moniker “frustration free”… they made the rest of it really frustrating. The hardware bags came WITHOUT labels. So I had to go through each bag and eyeball and pick out the right hardware leading to tons of wasted time in matching up the instructions to the hardware to the right slots. Each time the instructions asked me to look at “bag a” for example, I would have to dig through the entire pile because there was no “bag a”!!
Aside from that the instructions are overall poor – but then again after having mounted 4 flat tvs before, there is no such thing as good and easy to read instructions. The mount seems a bit wobbly while adjusting it.
The biggest plus is that this thing is constructed solid.. there is no way I can imagine this breaking or coming off the wall (properly installed on a stud). Very heavy duty indeed. Now if they can only go fix their packaging labeling and instructions….
Swivel your screen to the perfective position
