 How this rates in price, value, quality, etc.

I thought long and hard about what factors might matter to potential buyers of this case. To be fair, my spouse and I already had different cases for our iPhone, ones made by Otterbox. That one offers far more protection. However, some buyers may want some protection but be on a budget. If so, this Silicone Case is certainly far better than nothing and also has other features that make it appealing. So here is how the AmazonBasics rates with us:

 More For Looks Than Protection

The “AmazonBasics Silicone Case for AT&T and Verizon iPhone 4 (White)” is a very simple and not particularly confidence inspiring cover for your iPhone 4. It is very lightweight, non-bulky and has a fairly firm grip due to a rippled pattern on the back. But its very softness does not bode well for protection if dropped. Additionally, mine did not fit tightly enough to suit me as I found the phone sliding around within the case after a short time. Similarly, the longer side coverings not only were unsturdy but often bowed outward allowing the phone to easily slip out.
The price is a bit high for such a questionable protective case but as a basic entry level case it does have some appeal especially to those who wanted a white iPhone–this case can give them that illusion. If your expectations are kept real and low, this will be an acceptable basic phone covering.

Nice Basic Leather Case

This review is for the black leather case. The black case comes in your choice of leather or silicone. White, pink or red only come in the silicone option.
The AmazonBasics Leather Case for the iPhone 4 is just as exactly described with no misrepresentations. It is a basic real leather case that will fit your iPhone snugly in place. Comes packed in a small cardboard box with no hard plastic to fight with. The Lamb leather is rigid which makes the outer shell more durable than having a softer outer shell. The scent of genuine leather is present. It was easy to slide the iPhone in and out, the cutouts line up perfectly with the iPhone’s controls for easy access.
I just wish it had some kind of carry strap or clip to attach it on my purse or waist.
